Promotional Package: Research


What is a promotional Package? 


- A promotional package is a package that includes ancillary items to support the promotion of of an event, film, band or social star. A promotional package will include various artifacts such as posters, a digipak or album, singles, a music video and a website. A promotional package will tend to have a variety of media texts that cross through a range of media platforms whilst maintaining constant similarities such as a constant font. 


Single Research


Prior to the release of an album, a number of commercially favorable singles are released to the general public. This musicians to raise awareness of their upcoming album and at the same time allow for some success in the charts. Singles tend to be released  before and after the album, this allows for musicians to increase revenue as well as raise further awareness to potential fans. Singles tend to made into videos. A relevant example is the video that was made for the song 'Feeling Good' that was sung by Muse.
