Music Video: Further Snorricam research and Development
In the music video produced by Dynamic Productions there is a particular scene that involves the use of a Snorricam rig. The rig allows the person attached to it to walk freely, hands free with the camera fixed on their face at all times. A SnorriCam is a specialised rig mount used in film making that is attached to the body of an actor, facing the actor directly, so when they walk, they do not appear to move, but everything around them does, providing an unusual sense of vertigo (disorientation) for the viewer. Whilst assessing what camera shots should be used for each shot it was decided that the Snoricam would allow us to capture a significant shot of the main character in a disorientated state whilst at the same time conveying different emotions through Reception Theory as different individuals may view the shot as conveying different emotions such as sadness or anger Below is an example of a professional Snorricam and a video demonstrating its use in motion
